Four things to know

  1. Delivery apps are 49% of sales and the most expensive way to sell: Uber Eats keeps about KES 16 of every 100, Bolt Food 10. Glovo's real cost is unknown until its commission statement is found (Q8).
  2. 94.8% of checkable sales match a provider record. Most of the rest repeat a few patterns: 327 Glovo orders are KES 385 lower on the POS than in Glovo.
  3. KES 373K of POS cash has no matching deposit by 1 September. KES 250K of it is one take away order on 26 Aug rung up as cash. Was it really paid in cash?
  4. 568 provider records (KES 721K) have no POS sale, mostly M-Pesa (321). They may be other M-Pesa tills on the same number, or sales never rung up.

Decisions for leadership

  • D1
What should v1 be for first? The data supports five outcomes: missed payments, inter-punches, fee checks, cash observations (audit only), and sales patterns. Decides: Project lead, client.
  • D4
Where is Glovo's commission, and what rates did we sign?Glovo's export has no fee columns; other rates are August averages. Decides: Project lead, client.
  • D5
Was the KES 250K order on 26 Aug really paid in cash?Observed cash difference is KES 373K; one take-away sale of 500 meals explains KES 250K of it. Cash reconciliation is outside the first version; may we show the audit-only cash view?. Decides: Finance manager, store.
  • D8
Who receives the HR report, and how is the hand-over recorded? The HR report lists confirmed losses only, by POS user, for HR review; the system never deducts pay (s.19). Decides: Client, with HR advice.
